How much does the service cost?
You can track an employee for 33 eurocents a day.
How much GPRS data does the service use?
This depends on your working environment. Normally GPRS data usage is about 10Mb a month.
How about roaming costs?
If you are traveling abroad and your application is turned on and also the roaming option on your SIM card (or mobile phone) then the service will automatically continue to operate. Any roaming costs will then be applied. Contact your mobile service provider for more information about the amount of costs. This application also works with a local SIM card from a foreign provider (if GPRS settings are correct). We advise you to purchase a local SIM card when you are staying abroad for longer periods of time to avoid high roaming costs.
Can I use my builtin mobile phone in my car?
Currently only iPhone, iPad, Android and Symbian 9.1 and higher are supported. Here you can see an overview of all supported mobile devices.
Can I use my own mobile phone?
Yes you can if you have a device which is supported. Here you can see an overview of all supported mobile devices.
What kind of phone do I need?
You may use any phone which is supported by our service. Currently we support iPhone, iPad, Android and Symbian 9.1 and higher. Here you can see an overview of all supported mobile devices.
Do you support blackberry/iphone/android?
Blackberry is planned for the near future. You can ask more information here. iPhone and Android are already supported.
Can I use my GPS?
Currently we only support mobile devices like iPhone, iPad, Android and Symbian 9.1 and higher, because we do not only need a GPS but also a GMS/GPRS transceiver on the phone. Here you can see an overview of all supported mobile devices.
Do I need a special kind of mobile subscription?
You can use your existing subscription and phone number. The only thing you need is access to GPRS internet.
How accurate is the location display?
We are using the most accurate positioning which your mobile phone can offer, by using a combination of GPS and GSM based positioning. With a builtin GPS you can achieve accuracy of up to a few meters. In case your phone does not have GPS, we determine the current position based on GSM. In the latter case you will have less accurate positioning - several blocks in a city up to several kilometers outside the city.
Is the update interval constant?
This depends on your movement activity. If your location does not change then the period in which the location will be send will be extended automatically to save battery power and data usage. When you move the location updates will be send more frequently to make the localization more accurate and up-to-date.
What happens if there is no network connectivity?
If there is no mobile network connectivity (using GPRS), then the application cannot send data to our service. When the connection is restored the data will be updated.
When does the application send location updates?
The application starts sending location updates at 8:00AM until 23:30PM. These are the standard settings and can be changed.
How many employees can I track?
You can track as many employees as you wish. You only need to install a small application on each phone you wish to track.
Can I track my employees using my mobile phone instead of my computer?
Yes, buitendienstinbeeld has a mobile version of the website including a graphical map.
Is it possible to register the working times of employees?
Yes, you can see when employees arrive at work (or at a customer site) and where the spend time during the day.
Can I see which customer my employee has visited?
Yes, we offer detailed reports of customers and appointments. You can see the reports on the internet and export them to Excel.
Kan ik een medewerker volgen zonder dat hij of zij dit weet?
No, this is an application which is installed and executed on the mobile phone and the user can disable it at any time. Additionally the application is displayed in the menu of the mobile phone. (next to other applications installed)
Is this a form of mobile phone espionage?
No, this is a service which allows executives to manage their team more efficiently. The employee can enable or disable the application at any time.
